Greensboro Restaurants: North Carolina’s Best Brunch, Tea, Pizza & Downtown Dinner

I love to eat on my travels, so it gives me great pleasure to share my top Greensboro restaurant recommendations, places for brunch, high tea in the afternoon, pizza and even Southern Cajun Creole dinner downtown. If you’re following my North Carolina Revolutionary Road Trip travel itinerary, you’ve seen some of these dining recommendations, but I wanted to expand the post, because the topic is so tasty!

Darley and founder Dennis Qauintance having breakfast at Print Works Bistro. Inspired by the cut and sew factories of Greensboro, this hidden gem features a blend of classic and modern French bistro dishes.

Greensboro Brunch Recommendation

🥞Start with brunch at Print Works Bistro and definitely get the cinnamon rolls. Housed in Proximity Hotel, a great pick for accommodations, this restaurant has savory options like shrimp and grits, French toast, classic eggs benedict and avocado toast with honey Greek yogurt and berries.

☕️ It’s a short drive from Proximity Hotel to the O.Henry Hotel for afternoon tea. Co-owner Nancy King Quaintance joined me for scones, mini cucumber sandwiches and piping hot tea to share how she was inspired to start this tradition, a regal tea offering. They fashioned it after the original O.Henry, which was built in 1919.

🍕 Grab a slice of Neapolitan-style pizza if you can fit it in at Cugino Forno, learning about the history of denim at Revolution Mill.  Revolution Mill is an example of a multi-use space where history is ever present and Cugino Forno has an impressive pizza oven! Their ingredients are super flavorful and fresh, with mozzarella coming straight over from Italy.

🍝 Have Southern Cajun Creole dinner in downtown Greensboro at Blue Denim and say hi to owner Jody Morphis. Crawfish beignets, gumbo, burrata, and crispy okra combine for a flavorful feast. Dine indoors amid the denim themed restaurant or outside.
