Darley Newman and Travels with Darley Director of Photography, Greg, Barna
The Travels with Darley team celebrated an incredible milestone at the 2025 Daytime Emmy Awards, where longtime Director of Photography Greg Barna was honored with a prestigious Silver Circle Emmy — a lifetime achievement award recognizing his outstanding contributions to television. The ceremony, hosted by Mario Lopez in collaboration with Access Hollywood, also brought together celebrated creators and journalists, including Star Jones, Deborah Norville, Karen Brown, Carla Hall, and James Reynolds.
Walking the red carpet alongside Barna was the small, tight-knit Travels with Darley team, including host and Executive Producer Darley Newman, Consulting Producer Evelyn Kwan Green, and Consulting Producer and Photographer Chad Davis. Together, they celebrated more than 15 years of storytelling, adventure, and creativity.
“For more than 15 years, Greg has brought his keen eye and artistry to Emmy Award-winning series Travels with Darley,” said Newman. “From soaring over the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia in a hot air balloon, to free diving in South Korea, to capturing the raw power of horses in Wyoming, and even facing down an elephant charge, Greg has chronicled unforgettable stories with talent, creativity, and heart.”
“Greg has captured it all—from the wilds of Wyoming, West Hollywood, and Wilmington, Delaware, to remote trails in Ellijay, Ethiopia, and England,” Newman continued. “He has not only an incredible eye for photography but is also an amazing human being. Our production team is like a family. I’m thrilled to celebrate this well-deserved honor.”
This Silver Circle Emmy recognizes Barna’s lifetime of work behind the camera, highlighting the artistry, courage, and vision he has brought to Travels with Darley and Equitrekking over the years.
